This is dedicated to my children and to the past memories and lives of those we are related to. Like any journey this started out as a quest to find some simple answers about my parents and grandparents, as I knew almost nothing about them. It was during this search I realized how important it is to NOT FORGET and have good records. Although this journey has just begun for me, I have marveled at the personal feelings and emotions as I read about those relations, their lives, trials, and what they without knowing at the time, left for all of us today. I am honored to have a good friend, Miss GIGI JACKSON, to guide me along in this endeavor. I am most greatful.
My grandmother, my mother's mother, has and continues to be somewhat of a mystery. She has had many names, Maggie Trusty, Loretta M. Dockery, Magdaline, "Flossie" Massey?? and she died a Franks. I dont think she was ever married to Doyle Massey, my mother's father. While she used the name Dockery, she gave birth to James L. "BUD" Massey, my mother's half brother?? and I am not sure that "BUD" is her half brother. They are all dead now and we have to solve the mystery. Any info would be most welcome!
UPDATE: Miss Victoria Nicole Cameron, born Dec 28, 1942 in Goldsboro, Wayne Co., North Carolina, passed away at the age of 67 on May 12, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a 6 weeks battle with AML Leukemia. She is now with our Father in Heaven and enjoying her reunion with all her family and friends there ... she has now learned and resolved, I'm sure, the mystery of her mother's mother ... Maggie (Dockery) Massey and hopefully will relay that to my spirit so I may update the information to this website. May God bless you, MY SIS, and when my time and work is done here then we will be together once again.
I have added some photo's as a memorial of one Grand Lady, Best Friend/Girlfriend, Sister in Spirit, and Mentor. Please see the link to Victoria's memorial with links to her mother's and father's memorials and other extended family members that I set up to the right under "Useful Links". I am forever in your debt, Sis, for all that you gave and taught me ... for your Love and the Honor to be YOUR Little Sister in Spirit. I miss you, My Darling Sis, so very much. I now look forward to that day we are together again.
